Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting and decorating, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from residential to commercial properties, ensuring spaces are transformed with colour and precision. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel between sites.

Duties

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with accuracy and attention to detail
Use a range of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and specialised equipment
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress
Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Assist in the planning and execution of decorating projects from start to finish

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting and decorating
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to interpret technical instructions and drawings accurately
Valid driving licence is advantageous for site travel purposes
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites
