Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and professional Hairdresser to join our dynamic salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hairstyling and beauty treatments, delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining a welcoming environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilise your skills in hairdressing, barbering, and beauty enhancements, contributing to the overall client experience and salon success.

Duties

Provide a wide range of hairdressing services including cutting, colouring, styling, and specialised treatments.
Perform barbering services such as trims, shaves, and beard grooming.
Deliver specialised beauty treatments including eyelash extensions and makeup application.
Offer personalised consultations to understand client preferences and recommend suitable styles or treatments.
Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, client check-in/out, and maintaining the cleanliness of the reception area.
Upsell additional services or retail products to maximise client satisfaction and salon revenue.
Mentor junior staff or apprentices, sharing expertise to foster skill development within the team.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in all treatments and work areas.
Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in hairdressing, beauty treatments, and industry techniques.

Skills

Proven experience in store management or salon operations is advantageous.
Strong barbering skills with certification or recognised training preferred.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients.
Proficiency in front desk operations including appointment booking and client relations.
Skilled in mentoring junior staff or apprentices to develop their skills professionally.
Expertise in eyelash extensions and makeup application is desirable but not essential.
Ability to upsell services and retail products tactfully to enhance client experience.
Exceptional communication skills to ensure clear understanding of client needs and preferences.
