Lewis Tree Surgery York Ltd are a long established, family owned, arboricultural company based in York. We now require a groundworker and fully qualified lead arborist/climbers to carry out all aspects of arboricultural works in the York and surrounding areas.
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic, motivated individuals who work well as part of a team but can use own initiative when necessary. The role will involve working alongside and supporting colleagues undertaking all aspects of aerial and ground based arboricultural operations.

Salary package:
Climber: £15 per hour (depending on experience)
Groundworker: £13 per hour
Climber duties to include but not limited to:
- Pruning
- Crown cleaning / dead wooding
- Crown lifting
- Crown reduction
- Crown thinning
- Felling
- Pollarding
- Climbing
- Rigging

Our ideal candidate will have:
- NPTC CS30 Maintenance of a chainsaw
- NPTC CS31 Felling small trees
- NPTC CS38 Climb trees and perform aerial rescue
- NPTC CS39 Operate a chainsaw from rope and harness
- Full UK Driving Licence (must have)
Desirable attributes are (not essential as training will be provided):
- Manually fed chipper
- CSCS Card
- First Aid
Groundworker duties to include but not limited to:
- Assisting climbers on site
- Dragging branches to woodchipper
- Operating the woodchipper
- Loading vehicles and trailers
- Cutting timber in managaable sizes
- Logging timber
