Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Ironing Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all garments and linens are pressed to a high standard, contributing to the overall presentation and quality of our hotel services. Previous hotel experience is advantageous, but a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence are essential. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment where attention to detail and organisational skills are highly valued.

Duties

Carefully press and iron a variety of garments, linens, and fabrics according to specified standards
Ensure all items are free from wrinkles, stains, and damage before returning them to guests or storage
Organise laundry schedules to meet operational deadlines efficiently
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the ironing area and equipment
Assist with sorting laundry items and preparing them for pressing
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during work processes
Report any damaged or defective equipment promptly for maintenance or replacement

Skills

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred
Strong attention to detail with an eye for colour, fabric type, and finishing quality
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of presentation
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision
Basic knowledge of fabric care instructions and ironing techniques
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
