Role: Pricing Analyst
Location: Horwich, BL6 6JW
Contract: Full-Time Hours / Permanent

Salary: Up to £40,000 (Dependent on experience)

About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Pricing Analyst to join our Fuel team at EG Group. The Fuel Pricing Analyst will play a key role in driving pricing decisions across our German petrol filling station network. Based in the UK, you will support the in-house German pricing team by analysing market data, competitor activity, and site performance to make timely, commercially sound pricing recommendations that maximise profitability.

Reporting into the Head of Fuel Pricing, this role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment and enjoys influencing business outcomes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure pricing strategies are implemented effectively and consistently across the network.

What you’ll be doing:

Managing day-to-day pricing decisions for a portfolio of German sites using the pricing tool.
Supporting the German pricing team with strategy reviews, pricing cover, and performance analysis.
Monitoring competitor activity, market trends, and cost movements to ensure competitive pricing.
Analysing large datasets to produce actionable reports, insights, and recommendations.
Applying pricing strategies at a site level to optimise volume, margin, and profitability.
Collaborating with analysts and commercial teams on ad-hoc projects, including local pricing tests and wider market analysis.
Presenting findings to senior stakeholders and contributing to continuous improvement of pricing models and processes.

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience in pricing or commercial analysis, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work confidently with large datasets using Excel.
Confident decision-making and the ability to challenge assumptions where appropriate.
Commercial awareness and business acumen, with a focus on driving profitability.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across multiple stakeholders.
Ability to prioritise tasks, manage competing demands, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
Proactive, team-oriented, and capable of working independently to deliver results
