Berry's Beds is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and customer-focused Delivery Driver & Bed Installer to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role that involves delivering beds, mattresses, and bedroom furniture to customers' homes, assembling products on-site, and providing excellent customer service. You'll also be responsible for removing old beds and mattresses where required, ensuring customers receive a complete and professional service from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver beds, mattresses, and bedroom furniture to customers' homes.
- Assemble and install beds and bedroom furniture safely and professionally.
- Remove and collect old beds, mattresses, and furniture for disposal or recycling where required.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all deliveries and installations are completed to a high standard.
- Remove packaging and leave customers' homes clean and tidy.
- Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any issues.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service at all times.
- Represent Berry's Beds positively within the local community.
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet.
- Good practical and DIY skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Previous delivery, furniture assembly, or installation experience is beneficial but not essential, as training will be provided.
