Bookkeeper — Part Time (AGZ Group)
Location: Chapelhall Industrial Estate, Airdrie (primarily Argon Engineering; occasional support to Zeus Engineering and Gillrick Metalwork as required)

The role
We’re looking for a dependable, detail‑oriented part‑time Bookkeeper to support our finance administration across the AGZ Group. This role is based primarily at Argon Engineering in Airdrie, with occasional involvement across our sister companies Zeus Engineering and Gillrick Metalwork depending on business needs. You’ll take ownership of day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks, keep records accurate and up to date, and support reporting, payroll and monthly routines.
What you’ll do
- Manage and record day‑to‑day financial transactions using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll
- Process purchase invoices and supplier payments (accounts payable)
- Raise and issue sales invoices, allocate receipts and manage aged debt (accounts receivable)
- Maintain accurate, organised records of invoices, receipts and financial documentation
- Support payroll processing and related documentation
- Assist with month‑end routines and basic reporting for management
- Support year‑end preparation and provide information as required to accountants/management
- Provide general administration support linked to finance activity
What you’ll bring (essential)
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Payroll
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals: invoices, ledger postings, reconciliations and payment processes
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with a methodical approach to record‑keeping
- Good organisational skills and ability to manage priorities across regular weekly tasks
- Confident communicator, able to liaise professionally with colleagues, customers and suppliers
- Discretion and professionalism when handling financial and payroll information
- Right to work in the UK

- Experience supporting multiple companies or a small group of businesses
