We are currently seeking a proactive, solution-focused and versatile Senior IT Engineer, to join our IT team.
The on-target earning potential for this role is £45,000 / per annum - comprising a base salary of £40,000 plus a qualified estimate of £5,000 in gratuities and service charge. * As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards.

Location; Auchterarder, just off the A9. Gleneagles is also within easy reach of a number of Scottish towns and cities: Edinburgh City Centre (1hr), Glasgow or Dundee (50mins), Stirling and Perth (25mins).
- Working closely with our IT Engineering Manager to architect, scale, and maintain core IT infrastructure, while providing tier-3 escalation support and overseeing lifecycle hardware and software deployments
- You'll have responsibility for the maintenance of all Gleneagles IT systems, including regular patching of servers and systems and coordination with third party providers to ensure all systems are kept up to date and secure
- Responding swiftly to support tickets from users and working closely with teams across our business on systems development and configuration requests ; providing the a fantastic service, keeping in mind our aim to ensure our people feel as valued as our guests
- Managing complex support incidents including coordinating closely with third party support and our in-house teams to ensure faults are resolved efficiently
- Assisting key stakeholders with strategic projects including the regular review of IT platforms and the development and delivery of IT projects; acting as technical authority for IT change ensuring all system changes are properly controlled
- Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way
- You have an accredited IT qualification, with extensive hands-on engineering experience; cyber security qualifications or experience is also desirable, however not essential
- Ideally, you have experience within Hospitality and managing Hospitality management systems, including payments and Point of Sale, with an understanding of Audio Visual systems
- You love to be hands on, visible within the business providing a great service, and you have the ability to step into and support all areas of IT systems and infrastructure
- Technically, you can manage all Microsoft environments including Windows OS, Microsoft 365, Azure, AD, Group Policy, and you have a great understanding of Windows Server management including Hyper-V environments
- You also have experience of network WAN / LAN, Wi-Fi, firewall / security technologies, unified comms / telephony, ideally using Avaya technologies
- Well versed in enterprise backup and security principles and technologies, you're also adept in ITIL service management and change control methodologies; managing third party support providers, monitoring SLAs and escalating incidents as required
- Flexible in your approach, you appreciate this type of role may involve occasionally working outside normal working hours to support our busy 24/7/365 business, in undertaking planned maintenance projects and ad hoc support requests
- Your desire to keep your skills and knowledge current means you’re always up to date with the IT and technology landscapes
