Are you an exceptionally organised, warm and professional administrator looking for a rewarding role at the heart of a thriving independent school? We are seeking a dedicated and highly efficient individual to join our team.
This is a varied and pivotal role within the school, combining high-level administrative support to the Headmistress and be a key point of contact for prospective families, with responsibility for admissions, reception, attendance administration and the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. Accuracy of information, proactivity and a desire to give prospective families the very best customer service is key.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, personable and proactive, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a busy school environment. You will be the welcoming face of the school for pupils, parents and visitors, whilst also providing confidential and professional support to the Headmistress. You will be naturally confident, well presented, friendly and able to work with confidential information appropriately. The ideal candidate will be an experienced administrator, who thrives in a busy, exciting workplace; a ‘people-person’ who can passionately communicate about what our incredible school offers prospective families.
The role requires excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills, database experience, an ability to work accurately under pressure and to multi-task across all aspects of administration and marketing. You will be a point of contact for prospective parents and families on all aspects of the admissions process.
Your role will include the following:
- Building rapport with prospective families
- Providing timely, accurate information at all stages of the admissions journey
- Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Ensuring accurate information is maintained on our database for all prospective families
- Responding to calls and emails quickly and efficiently
- Maintaining close contact with families throughout the admissions process, following up regularly until the student has accepted their place and arrived at school
- Organising and hosting individual tours, admissions events and open mornings by liaising with various departments e.g. Head of Departments, catering etc.
- Arranging taster and assessment days
- Supporting the day to day running of the main school office
- Social media communication and website maintenance
- Liaising with Prepcare, our on-site nursery
- Creating and updating marketing and branded materials
- Managing internal and external school marketing projects
- Dealing with press advertising and writing editorials
- Any other reasonable request of the Headmistress
Flexibility
The above list is not exhaustive and other duties may be attached to the post from time to time. Variation may occur to the duties and responsibilities without changing the general character of the post.

To be aware of and implement the measures detailed within the School’s Safeguarding Policy and to work with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to ensure the welfare and well-being of all pupils at the school.
