YOUR ROLE
Our virtual assistants are the heartbeat of what we do, and we're looking for someone with genuine experience in candidate assessment and onboarding to help us find the right people. This is an in-house, non-commission role, there are no sales targets. You'll be part of our assistant champions team, working from initial application review through to onboarding new assistants.
This is a video and phone-based role: you'll spend real time on camera and the phone building genuine rapport with applicants across the UK and US.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting structured video and phone interviews with prospective virtual assistants, assessing experience, communication style, and client suitability
- Reviewing applications and shortlisting candidates against established criteria
- Managing candidate communications throughout the process, keeping applicants informed and ensuring a strong experience at every touchpoint
- Supporting onboarding of successful candidates, including right to work checks and a smooth start for new joiners
- Maintaining accurate recruitment records and contributing to reporting on pipeline, diversity, and hiring activity
- Identifying and suggesting improvements to our screening and onboarding process
What we're looking for
Essential:
- At least 12 months' experience in a role involving structured interviewing, candidate screening, or applicant assessment (in-house HR, talent acquisition, or people operations background, agency recruitment experience also welcome, but this is not a sales role)
- Confident conducting interviews over video and phone
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to adapt tone across different candidates
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage your own pipeline and workload
- Comfortable working in a hybrid or remote setup
Desirable:
- Experience with applicant tracking systems or recruitment reporting
- Awareness of right to work checks or other pre-employment compliance requirements
- Interest in candidate experience

- Starting salary £25,000
