£11.00/hr to £13.25/hr (dependant on experience)

Camp Dates

First 5 weeks of summer holidays

Ages 5–12 years old

About the Role

P&E Sports are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and energetic Sports Coaches and Football Coaches to support the delivery of our summer camps across two sites in Redditch.

The right candidate may be based at one or both sites depending on availability and experience. Both camps run during the first 5 weeks of the summer holidays, from 9:00am – 3:00pm, with early drop-off and late pick-up available.

Our Two Redditch Camps

Camp 1 — Sports & Activity Camp | Arrow Vale Sports Centre

Location: Arrow Vale Sports Centre

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm

Focus: Multi-sports, football, team games, active challenges, glow sports & competitions

Camp 2 — Football Camp | Trinity High School

Location: Trinity High School

Hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, 9:00am – 3:00pm

Focus: Football-focused sessions, skill development, mini-tournaments & competitions

Main Responsibilities

Delivering fun, safe and engaging sports and/or football sessions
Supporting children aged 5–12 of all abilities
Helping to set up and pack away equipment each day
Encouraging children to take part and enjoy being active
Supporting with team games, competitions and active challenges
Helping with registration, lunch supervision and general camp duties where needed
Maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive environment
Managing behaviour in a calm and professional way
Reporting any safeguarding, first aid or behaviour concerns to the Camp Lead
Representing P&E Sports in a professional and friendly manner with parents, children and school staff

What We Are Looking For

Confident, positive and enthusiastic
Good with children and able to build rapport quickly
Reliable, punctual and well organised
Able to work as part of a team
Comfortable leading or supporting sports and/or football sessions
Patient, approachable and able to encourage children of all abilities
Calm under pressure and able to manage groups safely
Passionate about helping children enjoy sport and physical activity

Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience working with children is preferred, but the right attitude and personality are just as important.

Desirable experience includes:

Sports coaching or football coaching
(FA Level 1 or above desirable)
Holiday camps or summer schools
School clubs or PE support
Youth work or childcare
Volunteering with children's activities or sports clubs

Applicants must either have, or be willing to complete:

Enhanced DBS check
Safeguarding training
Basic first aid training where required

About the Camps

These are not elite coaching camps. The main focus is on children having fun, staying active, making friends and enjoying a positive holiday experience. We want staff who can bring energy, encouragement and enthusiasm every day, while helping to create a safe and structured environment for all children.
