Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regular Locum Pharmacist to join our dispensary team on a temporary basis, for at least 7 weeks. The Regular Locum Pharmacist will be supported by an excellent dispensary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional pharmaceutical services, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the pharmacy team. They must be able to provide all Services including Pharmacy First, EHC, NMS, BP, weight management.
Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently in accordance with legal and organisational standards
- Provide all Services including Pharmacy First, EHC, NMS, BP, weight management
- Provide expert advice to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and maintain meticulous records of prescriptions and patient interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise medication therapy plans
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure the availability of essential medicines
- Support patient care initiatives by offering health advice and promoting medication adherence
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
Skills
- Proven experience as a Pharmacist, with current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Excellent communication skills, capable of providing clear guidance to patients and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, attention to detail, and organisational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and work independently under pressure while maintaining high standards of professionalism
We require cover for 4 days a week, starting from the 01 June 2026 for 7 weeks:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Fridays - from 9.00am-5.00pm, with 1 hour unpaid lunch break.
Job Type: Freelance
Pay: £28.00 per hour
