We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Psychotherapist / Counselling/Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Phinity Therapy. As a Senior Therapist/Psychologist, you will provide professional psychological counselling services to our clients, helping them navigate through various mental health challenges and improve their overall well-being.

With significant investment, Phinity has grown significantly over the past 12 months. This has allowed us to provide our therapists with private clients on a regular on-going basis. Freelancer therapists can expect up to 5 clients per day across multiple days.
Depending on availability for taking clients, therapist can expect to work with a range of private clients and earn in the range of £21,600 - £60,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy or psychological interventions to clients with diverse mental health needs.
- Conduct initial assessments, formulate treatment plans, and deliver tailored therapeutic support.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and concise client notes in line with professional and organisational standards.
- Monitor client progress, adapt interventions as necessary, and provide appropriate referrals when required.
- Manage own caseload effectively, ensuring timely and professional communication with clients and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with Phinity Therapy’s clinical team to ensure best practices in client care and risk management.
- Uphold ethical standards and comply with BPS/HCPC/BACP guidelines and Phinity Therapy policies.
- Engage in regular clinical supervision with an HCPC-registered Clinical Supervisor.
- Stay up to date with advancements in psychotherapy and psychology through regular CPD and training.
- Contribute to the development of Phinity Therapy by participating in team discussions, case reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Offer professional insight through optional creative writing opportunities for Phinity Therapy’s website.
- Demonstrate professional integrity and commitment to Phinity Therapy’s ethos, values, and client-centred approach.
- Ensure a high standard of client care by fostering a warm, compassionate, and professional therapeutic environment.
- Adhere to data protection laws and confidentiality agreements when handling client information.

Marketing and client sourcing is done by us to gradually build your caseload (clients may be private or referred by an organisation).
You only work the clinical hours you are booked for.
All miscellaneous administration is undertaken by our Practice Manager and Clinical Lead.
You are expected to write brief and accurate client notes, and invoice us for attended appointments so we can pay you for your hours.
Trust and autonomy, we trust in your clinical judgement, but also offer a supportive structure around clinical issues and client risk management.
A diverse and challenging caseload to help you continue developing and be your best, for our valued clients.
A variety of shifts (morning, afternoon, evening), 7 days a week.
A minimum 4 hours per week. We offer more hours, however no more than 1 shift (6 hours) per day for best practice. You can acquire additional shifts, over multiple days.

What We Expect From You (REQUIRED)
* You are either BPS/HCPC/BACP member/accredited and adhere to the respective Code of Ethics and Conduct.
* You have achieved a recognised minimum level 7 qualification in counselling/clinical psychology.
* You have varied and diverse clinical experience (minimum 2 years' post qualification) in a similar role providing contracted counselling and managing own caseload in Private Practice.
* You have experience of face-to-face work.
* You have excellent verbal and written communication.
* You can provide an Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau check (DBS) for working with vulnerable adults, youth and/or children.
* You can lone work and self-manage.
* You have professional liability insurance.
* You undertake regular supervision with an HCPC Registered Clinical Supervisor.
* You are experienced with client-risk management.
* You have proficient IT skills (e.g., Microsoft, Excel) and are able to keep accurate clinical records (inhouse training will be provided).
* You participate in regular CPD
* You currently reside in the UK and have unrestricted eligibility to work in the UK.

Job Type: Freelance
Starting Salary (depending on experience/training):
- Individual Session £42-66 per 50-minute session
- Couples Session £45.50-£71.50 per 50-minute session
- Family Session £52.50-£82.50 per 50-minute session
- Couples Initial Assessment: £68.25 - £107.25 per 75-minute session
- Family Initial Assessment: £105 - £165 per 100 minute session
