About the job
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Ice Cream Server to join our great team! The ideal candidate will be excited to deliver excellent customer service and create a memorable experience for our loyal Customers. This role involves engaging with customers, preparing and serving a variety of ice creams, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is advantageous, but full training will be provided if this is to be your first job.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favourite ice cream flavour
Prepare and serve ice creams
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the serving area, ensuring hygiene standards are met at all times
Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
Upsell additional products or upgrades to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
Restock supplies as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the service counter
Follow food safety guidelines diligently to ensure the safety of both staff and customers
Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without compromising quality

Skills

Excellent serving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Good time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently during peak hours
Ability to upsell products naturally to maximise sales opportunities
Previous experience in food service or similar roles will be advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key qualities
