Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Prosthetic Technician specialising in Valplast to join our professional team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating high-quality dental prosthetics, ensuring optimal patient comfort and satisfaction. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within a supportive environment committed to excellence in dental care. The role involves working closely with dental professionals and patients to produce customised prosthetic solutions that meet individual needs.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble dental prosthetics, with a focus on Valplast materials, ensuring precision and quality standards are met.
Interpret dental impressions, models, and prescriptions accurately to produce customised prosthetic devices.
Maintain detailed records of work processes, materials used, and patient specifications for compliance and quality assurance.
Collaborate with dental practitioners to adjust and refine prosthetics for optimal fit and function.
Ensure all prosthetics are finished to the highest aesthetic standards, paying attention to colour matching and natural appearance.
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations within the laboratory environment.
Assist in maintaining a clean, organised workspace and manage inventory of materials efficiently.

Qualifications

Proven experience or training in dental technology, particularly with Valplast or similar flexible denture materials.
Strong understanding of patient care principles related to prosthetic dentistry.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with colleagues and patients.
Basic IT skills for managing digital records and design software relevant to dental prosthetics.
Organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Knowledge of nursing or healthcare environments is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work accurately under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.

Pay: £24,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
