An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning Team at Tatton Park as Interpreter Guide. You will educate, inform, and entertain visitors of all ages to Tatton Park using a variety of means, in order to interpret and help them understand and appreciate the history, geography, ecology and management of the site.
An exciting opportunity has become available to work within the Learning department at Tatton Park as Interpreter Guide. The position is on 0 hours casual basis.
You will conduct guided tours for adults and children and provide hands on or role play experiences for the children within the context of activities relating to the education curriculum or other learning programmes to support the delivery of education and learning services. Research and prepare various interpretative programmes in order that interpretation and learning visits are offered that are as accurate and authentic as possible. Conduct adult tours that involve describing, providing and interpreting information in order that visitors can appreciate and understand Tatton Park. Monitor and be vigilant at all times regarding all matters affecting collections, contents, and their use and its enjoyment by visitors and to ensure the safety and welfare of all visitors and the safety of all artefacts is maintained. Undertake such preparation, setting-up and cleaning duties as may be necessary to ensure the smooth running of the activity.
An enthusiastic and friendly outlook, keen to learn and enjoys working as part of a team. This role will suit you if you are able to inspire and engage people and help them learn in an interesting and enjoyable way. You will be an ambassador for Tatton Park, passionate about sharing its history and able to work outside year-round.
