Full job description

JD Seasonings is hiring for a machine operative, we manufacture award winning seasonings for the trade and retail sector.

our factory is based in Wigan WN3 6XU.

As our company continues to grow, we have been able to offer permanent positions and promotions for our existing employees.

All candidates must be, punctual, reliable and have a positive and respectful attitude towards others.

We are currently offering a permanent position for the right candidate with an Immediate start, hours will include overtime on weekends in busy periods when required. We are looking for 1x full time experienced machine optative

Hours

35 hours per week

7 hour Shifts

Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Duties include

operating a bespoke machine
filling in paperwork
hitting targets
full clean down of the production room and machine
using our dating machine
Mixing
Lifting 25kg sacks
Working in a fast paced environment
Packing in busy periods

what you'll be doing

Machine operative - You will be trained as a multi Skilled worker where two days will not be the same, You will work along side our fully Trained Machine operative's, you will be responsible for ensuring all paperwork is filled out correctly, filling the machine with the correct product and martials, using our clean as you go procedure, you will be trained to oversee the end of line duties ensuring all product is sealed before lidding the product, you will be confirming the date on the dating machine is correct, you will also lid the product's. you will be responsible for changing tooling, machine trouble shooting cleaning down the full production room and be responsible for hitting targets you will also be a key holder.

you will be trained to mix our products to the measurements provided, you will be required to pick our raw ingredients, filling in Paper work correctly and be responsible for the full clean down of the production room,

the candidate will be required to lift 25KG sacks

Machine end of line - you will assist the machine operative, using our dating machine, you will date print the product sleeves, make boxes, sleeve products get the product and materials from its the location and be responsible for cleaning the machine,

Packing- you will assist with packing orders weekly and in busy times. Full clean down of the packing area filling in paper work and assisting with stock takes.

The ideal candidate

no experience necessary as full training will be given
be organised and reliable
Technical ability to operate machinery
Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy loads
ideally will have leadership experience (Machine operative)
