Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and physically capable Scaffold Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of scaffolding structures on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be safety-conscious, and possess or be willing to develop skills relevant to various construction trades. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience within the construction industry.

Responsibilities

Assist in the safe assembly and dismantling of scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety standards
Carry and position materials, tools, and equipment required for scaffold erection and maintenance
Support tradespeople such as carpenters, roofers, plumbers, and masons during their tasks by providing necessary scaffolding support
Ensure work areas are kept tidy and free from hazards to promote a safe working environment
Follow all health and safety regulations diligently during all phases of work
Inspect scaffolding components regularly for damage or wear, reporting issues promptly for repair or replacement

Skills

Basic knowledge of construction sites and safety procedures
Experience with hand tools and power tools is advantageous
Familiarity with trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, or fabrication is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
Good organisational skills with attention to detail for safety inspections and task execution

This role is suitable for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills within the construction sector while contributing to large-scale projects. All positions are paid accordingly.
