Full job description

Job Summary

Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Assistant, where your energy and attention to detail will drive our logistics operations forward! In this vital role, you will support the efficient handling of materials, ensure accurate shipping and receiving, and maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment. Your mechanical aptitude and familiarity with warehouse management systems will help streamline processes, while your physical strength and enthusiasm will keep operations running smoothly. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Duties

Safely handle materials through loading, unloading, stacking, and stocking products throughout the warehouse
Manage shipping and receiving tasks by verifying shipments, preparing orders, and updating inventory records in the warehouse management system
Pick and pack items accurately for outgoing orders to ensure customer satisfaction
Conduct quality control checks to identify damaged or defective items and maintain product standards
Assist with stock organization, labeling, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace
Support inventory counts and stock replenishment activities to keep stock levels optimal

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for all new team members
Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus; certification is advantageous but not mandatory
Basic mechanical knowledge helps in troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance
Experience with warehouse management systems or inventory software enhances efficiency in daily tasks
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout shifts
Strong attention to detail for quality control, order accuracy, and safety compliance
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to supporting warehouse operations

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
