Full job description

The Company:

Cordek are an established market leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of high-performance products to several niche areas in the Construction sector, having worked on iconic skyscrapers in the UK and supplied products for use in the construction of hospitals, leisure centres, houses, windfarms and films sets.. Here at Cordek Limited, we are looking for an individual to join our production team who shares our Company values, Honesty, Communication and Respect.

Job Summary:

This role requires no previous experience and would suit anyone with a hard working attitude who is willing to learn. The successful individual will work as part of a team and assist in the manufacture, movement, packaging and loading of our products. They will operate machinery, forklifts and complete manual tasks.

Role Requirements:

To operate all factory machinery independently following a training period, in a safe and competent manner, in accordance with any instruction or training given, installation manual or course provided.
To perform any basic maintenance or repair to any machine as trained and authorised.
Maintaining a well organised and tidy production facility in line with 5S, adhere to all Health & Safety requirements and ensure compliance with general company policies and training requirements.
To load and offload products from an automated machine process.
To read and interpret production schedules and prioritise workload in accordance.
The ability to recognise efficiency optimisation opportunities and communicate them effectively.
The aptitude to work more than one machine at a time (due to long running cycles).

Manual work: This job is physical and will involve some repetitive lifting and carrying.

Personal specification:

To display a set of clear high standards and good communications skills.
An ability to work under pressure and to prioritise work to meet deadlines.
Strong personal drive and a willingness to learn.

Hours: Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.30pm (shifts can vary)
Hourly rate: £13.80 per hour, plus the option to earn overtime
