About the Role
As Music Technician, you will provide vital technical and administrative support to the Music Department, ensuring that instruments, recording equipment, software, studios, and technology resources are maintained to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining music technology systems, software, and equipment
- Supporting lessons, rehearsals, performances, and extracurricular activities
- Managing recording studios and music technology facilities
- Setting up and operating sound, recording, and staging equipment
- Assisting students and staff with music technology and recording projects
- Managing equipment inventories and arranging repairs where necessary
- Supporting the administration of the music tuition programme
What We're Looking For
We are seeking someone who:
- Has strong knowledge of music technology and recording equipment
- Is organised, practical, and solution-focused
- Enjoys working with young people and supporting learning
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Can work independently while also being a valued member of a team
- Has a proactive and flexible approach to work
Experience within a music technology, sound engineering, recording, performance, or educational setting would be advantageous.
