Are you the kind of person who can keep a wedding running smoothly, a corporate event on schedule and still find time to greet guests with a smile? If so, we would love to meet you.
We are looking for an experienced Front of House & Events manager to join our small team at the Guildhall. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the action and takes pride in delivering exceptional events from start to finish.
What you will be doing
- Overseeing the smooth operation of all FOH activities.
- Managing and coordinating a wide range of events, from intimate celebrations to large-scale functions.
- Ensure guests receive a warm welcome and outstanding service.
- Leading by example and supporting the team in event setup, service and breakdown.
- Working closely with clients, suppliers and staff to ensure every event exceeds expectations.
- Rolling up your sleeves when needed – this role includes occasional light furniture moving and event setup duties.
What we are looking for
- A proven experience in managing events, with a strong knowledge of wedding and corporate events being essential.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A positive can-do attitude and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Someone who enjoys being hands-on rather than being stuck behind a desk.
- Weekend availability is a must, as that’s when many of the celebrations happen.
What you’ll Bring
- Energy, enthusiasm and a great sense of humour.
- A keen eye for detail and a talent for problem-solving.
- To be able to be proactive while juggling multiple priorities while keeping the clients and guests happy.
40 hours per month; can offer more when busy.
If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love creating unforgettable events, we would love to hear from you. Please send a covering letter with your CV to [email protected]
