Full job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team, based in Halesworth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting and finance, within an established motor trade business.

Key Responsibilities

Process day-to-day financial transactions, including purchase and sales ledger entries
Maintain and update sales and purchase ledgers with high accuracy
Reconciling supplier accounts
Support month-end processes
Handling internal and external finance queries
Liaise with internal departments
Provide general administrative support to the finance team

Requirements

Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
AAT qualification or working towards (highly desirable)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage time and priorities
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
