Shift Lead (Warehouse Operations)

Be the person who keeps the warehouse world spinning.

Ever been in a place where everything runs smoother when you’re there?

Where you naturally end up organising people, fixing problems, and keeping things moving?

That’s exactly what this role is.

We’re looking for a Shift Lead to run the floor during live warehouse operations — someone who can lead a team, stay calm in the chaos, and make sure every order gets out right, on time, and looking perfect.

This is part team leader, part operations controller, part “get-it-done” problem solver.

What your shift actually looks like

You kick things off

· Lead a quick, clear, no-nonsense (but human) start-of-shift briefing

· Get the team focused, energised, and ready to go

· Assign tasks so everyone knows exactly where they need to be

You keep the orders moving

· Make sure picking, packing, boxing, and dispatch stay on track

· Shift people and priorities in real time when things get busy

· Jump in yourself when bottlenecks appear (you’re not a clipboard leader)

You run the admin engine

· Print and organise labels, invoices, and packing sheets

· Match paperwork to physical orders with zero guesswork

· Keep everything tracked, tidy, and audit-ready

You’re obsessed with getting it right

· Spot-check orders before they leave the building

· Catch errors early and fix them fast

· Make sure labels, campaigns, and instructions are followed properly

You solve problems before they escalate

· Spot delays, issues, or blockers early

· Communicate fast and clearly to the right people

· Keep things moving—no drama, just solutions

You set the standard

· Keep the warehouse safe, clean, and running properly

· Make sure safety rules aren’t just known—they’re followed

· Lead by example every single shift

What we’re looking for - We’re not after someone who just “supervises”.

We want someone who:

· Notices everything (especially what’s about to go wrong)

· Can lead a team without standing still

· Stays calm when the pace picks up

· Can switch between admin brain and hands-on warehouse mode instantly

· Fixes problems instead of forwarding them

Bonus points if you’re comfortable with Excel, printing systems, or warehouse software—but attitude wins this role.
