Project lifecycle management: Manage all phases of the project from start to finish, including planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and close-out.
Team leadership: Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary project team of engineers and other staff.
Stakeholder management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and managing relationships.
Financial and schedule oversight: Develop and manage project budgets, financial forecasts, and schedules, ensuring projects remain on track.
Risk and quality management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and contractual standards.
Technical and commercial coordination: Coordinate with engineering team to develop cost-effective solutions, and manage commercial and contractual matters with external service providers.
Business development support: Provide technical expertise for proposals and tenders to help win new contracts.
Reporting: Prepare and provide regular reports on project progress, status, and risks.

Required skills and experience

Proven experience as a Project Manager specifically with HV substations or electrical infrastructure projects (typically 33kV and above).
Strong technical knowledge of substation design, construction, and commissioning.
Demonstrable track record of delivering complex, multi-stakeholder projects successfully.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge.
Experience with budget and schedule management.
SPEN Authorisations preferable

Pay: £50,000.00-£90,000.00 per year
