Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter

Location: Cwmbran, Torfaen
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of commercial plumbing and pipework systems across a variety of projects, including offices, schools, healthcare facilities, industrial sites, and new-build developments.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship while maintaining excellent health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Install, modify, and repair commercial plumbing and pipework systems.
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Install heating, chilled water, boosted cold water, drainage, and domestic water services.
Fabricate, assemble, and fit various types of pipework including copper, steel, stainless steel, and plastic systems.
Carry out pressure testing, commissioning, and fault-finding activities.
Ensure all work complies with current regulations, standards, and company procedures.
Work independently or as part of a wider project team.
Maintain a safe and organised working environment at all times.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Commercial Plumber and/or Pipefitter.
Relevant plumbing qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and pipe installation methods.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
CSCS Card (essential/preferred depending on role).
IPAF, PASMA, or SSSTS certifications would be advantageous.
