Business Support & Systems Coordinator

Turnbull's Northumbrian Food has been a cornerstone of Alnwick since 1880 - purveyors of award-winning pies, quality local meat and fine foods, crafted across six generations by skilled artisan butchers and bakers. We're a busy, growing business with a big local reputation, and we're looking for someone special to help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

We’re looking for a Business Support & Systems Coordinator to join our team – a central, wide-ranging role that touches almost every part of how we operate.

About the Role

This is not a traditional marketing or admin position. It’s a genuinely varied coordinator role for someone who enjoys working across different areas and takes real pride in the quality and accuracy of everything they touch.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Business administration: Managing our general enquiries inbox, coordinating donation and sponsorship requests, maintaining records and supporting our leadership team.

- Systems & compliance: Keeping our Recipe Manager and EPOS systems up to date, supporting allergen and food labelling compliance, and maintaining clear process documentation.

- Customer communications: Producing our weekly customer email newsletter, supporting social media activity, maintaining our Google Business Profile and helping drive customer engagement.

- Seasonal project coordination: Playing a key role in the planning and delivery of our Christmas operations and other major seasonal campaigns.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll be a natural organiser with a process-driven mindset and a genuine attention to detail. You’ll be comfortable picking up new systems and software, and confident communicating with customers, colleagues and external suppliers alike.

We’re particularly keen to hear from people who can demonstrate:

Strong compliance awareness: You understand the importance of accuracy in documentation, labelling and regulatory requirements, and you don’t cut corners.

Confident customer communication: You write clearly and professionally, whether responding to a review, drafting a newsletter or managing an enquiry.

A commercial mindset: You understand that what we communicate to customers matters, and you take pride in producing content that supports the business.

Process resilience: You document things properly, create clear records, and leave things better than you found them. You build systems that work even when you’re not in the room.

Pay: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
