We are a well-established small sheet metal fabrication company looking for an experienced Press Brake / Laser Operator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator who enjoys working in a hands-on environment where quality workmanship and practical experience are valued.
You will play a key role in our production team, working primarily with press brake and laser cutting machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC press brake and laser cutting machines
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
- Select appropriate tooling, materials, and machine settings
- Produce accurate parts to tight tolerances and high quality standards
- Carry out first-off inspections and basic quality checks
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines
Requirements
- Proven experience operating press brake and/or laser cutting machines
- Strong ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Experience with machine setup and tooling changes
- High attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Reliable, practical, and proactive attitude
Desirable Skills
- Experience in CNC programming or editing programs
- Wider sheet metal fabrication experience
- Forklift licence
Salary dependant on experience
- Hours: 7am – 4.30pm – Mon-Thurs & 7am - 1pm Fridays
