As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a committed Driver Technician to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a dependable, dedicated and flexible Driver Technician to join our UKAS accredited Materials team. As a member of Materials, it is key that you are able to thrive in a team environment, as well as independently. The fundamental part of the role is to determine the physical properties of a wide range of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates and bituminous mixtures to ensure compliance with specifications. All testing will be undertaken in line with a range of British, European and American standards so a good attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures is required.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

Collections of concrete and materials samples

Transfer of samples across the UK

Direct contact with our client

IT Skills excel/booking system
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:

Valid clean driving licence

You are physically fit and able to move large volumes of concrete cubes and materials samples

Ability to work independently and follow schedules and deadlines
Qualifications
To be a successful Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:
- Full UK driving licence
- CSCS card desirable but we can facilitate this for you
