On behalf of DWP, we are looking for a Training and Development Manager for a 6 Month (Inside IR35) contract based Hybrid in either Manchester, Leeds or Newcastle.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As the UK’s biggest public service department, it administers the State Pension and a range of working age, disability and ill health benefits to around 20 million claimants and customers. As such, we operate on a scale that is almost unmatched anywhere in Europe and most people in Britain come into contact with us at some point in their lives.

Working with DWP, you will be helping us to drive our priorities to:

Help people to move into work and support those already in work to progress, with the aim of increasing overall workforce participation
Help people to plan and save for later life, while providing a safety net for those who need it now
Provide effective, efficient, and innovative services to the millions of claimants who rely on us every day, including the most vulnerable in society
Improve experience of our services while maximising value for money for the taxpayer.

As a Training and Development Manager, your main responsibilities will be:

Must have experience within Training and and capability development.
Supporting the design and delivery of a sustainable training and support model for Portfolio Place in Identifying the user groups and user profiles?
Conducting Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and helping define user personas to shape learning approaches and identifying the user groups and user profiles.
Creating user guidance, walkthroughs, training materials, supporting content & comms material and working with the Capability team on accessibility training compliance, standardisation.
Engaging with stakeholders and users to understand needs, barriers and adoption challenges
Gathering user feedback, piloting and evaluating and supporting continuous improvement to training, guidance and adoption approaches
Creating user guidance, walkthroughs, training materials, supporting content & comms material and working with the Capability team on accessibility training compliance, standardisation

Essential:

Design and develop training packages and learning materials
Create user guidance, walkthroughs and induction content
Deliver training sessions and workshops
Support capability development and ongoing user enablement
Translate user needs and adoption requirements into structured learning products

Desirable:

Public Sector Experience
