Description

Priory Hospital Altrincham is looking to recruit a Cleaner to join our team across all wards. This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week between Monday and Friday from 07:30 am - 15:30pm

You don’t need previous experience – just a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Priory Hospital Altrincham, Hale, Cheshire provides inpatient and outpatient treatment for a range of mental health conditions and addictions, including depression, anxiety disorders, stress, OCD, phobias, PTSD and bipolar disorder. It is accessible by public transport, with local bus routes serving Rappax Road and Altrincham railway station approximately 1–2 miles from the hospital.

What you’ll be doing

Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the site
Following cleaning schedules and Priory standards
Using cleaning equipment safely and effectively
Reporting maintenance issues, damage, or hazards
Working as part of a team to deliver a high-quality service
Supporting colleagues where required

What you'll bring to the role

Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.

Good standard of English, with basic numeracy and literacy skills
Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential – full training will be provided
Reliable with a strong work ethic
Good attention to detail
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physical stamina to carry out an active role throughout the day
