Job Description

One Step Care are looking for confident sessional staff members who are qualified with a level 3 or 4 in Children and young people or an equivalent. The person applying should be able to build strong relationships with young people and work in a solution focus way. This opportunity is for Residential Support Workers to work in our Children's Home's that accommodate children and young people with emotional and/or behavioural difficulties.

Our aims are to; provide a safe, secure, homely, and positive environment for the children in our Home, to make sure they are supported and nurtured in reaching their full potential, to assist in the continuous improvement and development of the quality, image and reputation of our Home and Company.

Our team members are committed to delivering the very best outcomes for the children we support. Our dynamic and flexible service is tailored to the specific needs of the individual, making it easier to live, learn and be part of a world adapting to change.

Who we are looking for:

As a Sessional Residential Support Worker, you will work as part of a wider team to assess each child’s needs, implementing individual care plans and providing a level of supervision and support. You will build close relationships with the children in our home, supporting their life’s, hobbies, education, and relationships outside of the home.

As a member of our team it is important you have a great sense of humour, you are fun to be around and have the ability to work flexibly to achieve the best outcomes for our children. Our children love trying new things, and going new places, they love planning days out to make sure no day is the same.

The successful applicant will be required to supervise and support children and young people. Helping to develop and maintain their skills to live independent and fulfilled lives and to ensure that the support provided meets the needs of the child and promotes their individual rights, choice and independence.

Desirable Requirements

Hold a transferable DBS

Ability to drive and hold a current full driving licence (desirable);

Knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding

Support Environment: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

NVQ Level 3 In children and young people (Health & Social Care) or equivalent
