Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Baby Room Leader to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will lead and manage a dedicated team of nursery staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and education tailored to infants' developmental needs. Your leadership will foster a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where every baby feels valued and supported. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's lives while working within a dynamic, energetic setting committed to excellence in childcare.

Duties

Lead and supervise the daily operations of the baby room, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery of care and activities
Manage a team of nursery practitioners, providing guidance, support, and ongoing training to promote professional development
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support early childhood development milestones
Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and health information in compliance with regulatory standards
Foster strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and well-being
Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the nursery environment at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations
Support team members in creating an inclusive, caring atmosphere that promotes positive behaviour and emotional security

Requirements

Proven leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting
Extensive experience working with children, particularly infants or babies
Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively liaise with parents, team members, and external agencies
Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent are essential
Valid first aid certification relevant to infants is highly desirable
Ability to drive is a nice-to-have skill that can assist with various operational needs within the nursery environment
