We’re looking for someone who can confidently run the day to day operation, lead the team from the front, and maintain high standards across every part of the business, all while keeping the atmosphere positive, professional, and enjoyable.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leading The Team
- Managing and developing a friendly front and back of house team
- Recruiting, onboarding, and retaining the right people for the business
- Training staff to deliver confident, attentive, high quality service
- Supporting performance management and handling difficult conversations professionally where required
- Leading by example during both busy services and quieter periods
Running The Venue
- Overseeing all daily operations across bar, restaurant and cellar
- Keeping the venue clean, organised, well presented, and maintained inside and out
- Ensuring standards remain high across service, cleanliness, and customer experience
- Managing stock, ordering, rotas, and preparation for busy trading periods and events
Customer Experience
- Creating a welcoming and well run environment where customers feel looked after
- Handling customer feedback and resolving complaints quickly and professionally
- Maintaining calm leadership during high pressure situations and supporting the team when challenges arise
- Ensuring the venue remains safe, well managed, and compliant at all times
Driving The Business Forward
- Supporting sales growth through events, promotions, and strong day to day operations
- Helping create a positive atmosphere that keeps customers returning
- Bringing fresh ideas while maintaining the character and reputation of the pub
What We’re Looking For
- Previous hospitality management experience is essential
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience with recruitment, training, and team development
- Good operational knowledge across food, beverage, and service
- Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure
- Confident using rota systems, booking systems, and maintaining compliance standards
- Someone who naturally takes ownership and leads from the front
