Workshop Assistant– Small Plant Machinery

Hours: Full Time, Permanent – Mon–Thurs: 8:00am–5:30pm | Fri: 8:00am–5:00pm

We are currently seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Workshop Operative to join our Salisbury-based team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a passion for machinery to contribute to the smooth operation of our plant hire and sales business.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the cleaning, preparation, and basic maintenance of small plant machinery and tools for hire and sale
Work closely with our Senior Plant Mechanic and Hire Desk Team to ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards
Complete service reports and maintain a clean, organised workshop environment
Support occasional site deliveries (a full UK driving licence is essential; previous experience making site deliveries is advantageous)
Pick, pack, and dispatch stock items via couriers, as well as load company vehicles for outbound deliveries
What We’re Looking For:
A reliable, hands-on team player with a keen eye for detail
Practical experience with tools or machinery is beneficial but not essential – training can be provided
A valid full UK driving licence
A positive attitude and willingness to take on varied tasks
