At Axium Process, we specialise in hygienic process design, membrane filtration systems, CIP systems, and stainless-steel fabrications. We engineer innovative, efficient, and sustainable process solutions for industries including pharmaceutical, food & beverage, dairy, and chemicals.
With 68 employees operating from a 30,000 ft² manufacturing facility in Hendy Industrial Estate, Swansea, we are committed to becoming the number one provider in our market.
About You – Knowledge & Experience
We are looking for a motivated engineer with:
· A degree in an engineering or scientific discipline.
· Experience in process manufacturing and involvement in designing and specifying process equipment.
· Knowledge of thermo/fluid dynamics, instrumentation, and control (preferred).
· Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
· Strong documentation, administrative, and organizational skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Project Management experience (essential).
· Immediate start preferable.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you will:
· Design process flow diagrams, defining instrumentation and control requirements.
· Source and procure fluid handling equipment and materials for plant construction.
· Supervise workshop-based plant construction and liaise with workshop personnel.
· Manage projects from inception to final acceptance, including design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning—often on-site with customers.
· Conduct risk assessments and safety-related studies.
· Collaborate with customers throughout project progress.
· Prepare cost estimates for sales quotations, including calculations involving fluid/thermo dynamics.
· Conduct pilot plant trials both at our Swansea facility and on customer sites.
· Prepare detailed trial reports.
· Travel regularly within the UK and occasionally overseas.
· A valid driving license is required.
What We Offer
Salary – Up to £37,500+ depending on experience
5 weeks holiday per annum + bank holidays
