Job Summary
Amjutan are recruiting an organised and proactive Streetworks Coordinator to join our busy infrastructure delivery team.
You will play a vital part in keeping our gas, water, and electric installation projects moving smoothly by managing end-to-end permitting ,noticing and section 50 process.
You will be the primary link between our operational site teams including contractors, local authorities, 3rd party contractors and public.
Duties
- Permitting & Noticing: Accurately prepare, submit, open, and close street works notices and permits via the Street Manager system in accordance with NRSWA legislation.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Plan and coordinate installation schedules for gas, water, and electric infrastructure to ensure efficient, safe, and on-time project delivery.
- Traffic Management: Coordinate associated traffic management requirements, road closures, or diversion routes including TM Plans
- Compliance & Defect Management: Track notice timelines to avoid permit breaches, Section 74 overruns, and Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs). Challenge unfair charges where appropriate.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain excellent working relationships with the adopting utilities, Local Authorities, site supervisors, and project managers, providing regular progress updates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Streetworks, Permitting, or Noticing coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and the Traffic Management Act (TMA).
- Familiarity with electronic permitting systems (e.g., Street Manager, Symology/Aurora).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet strict statutory deadlines.
- Desirable: NRSWA Operative/Supervisor qualification, Experience of the Hauc Specification and understanding utility design drawings.
Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
