Full job description

My daughter is 20 years old, non verbal and an eye gaze user. She attends Treloar College in Hampshire on a termly basis and in the holidays she is at home with us in a village called Aldworth, about 10 miles West of Reading. We are looking for an enthusiastic and interested student(s) to work as a carer/buddy with her during the Summer holidays (2-3 weeks ). Duties would include feeding her (she has dysphagia and takes an IDDSI Level 5 minced and moist diet and thickened fluids, orally), helping her to the loo (she is fully continent) and going out and about with her on day trips and adventures. She is cognitively able and uses a Grid system with competence.

No experience is necessary, all training will be given and there will always be a second person working with her. Female applicants preferred because of the personal care, but not essential. Must be able to swim and drive. Pay £18/hr

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 4 weeks

Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour
