Job Summary
We are seeking a versatile and reliable individual to undertake multiple roles within our organisation, including yardman duties, delivery driving, and stock control. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations across various departments, maintaining stock accuracy, and delivering goods efficiently. Duties
- Assist with yard maintenance, including organising and tidying storage areas and ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Drive company vehicles for local deliveries, adhering to all traffic regulations and safety standards
- Load and unload goods safely, employing heavy lifting techniques when necessary
- Manage stock levels by monitoring inventory, recording movements, and conducting regular stock checks
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and stock movements
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate daily tasks and resolve any issues promptly
- Support warehouse operations by assisting with order picking, packing, and general organisation as required
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles, with a valid <PERSON> driver’s licence or equivalent
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and familiarity with local routes
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, demonstrating familiarity with stock management procedures
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading activities
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
- Organised approach to work with the ability to multitask across different responsibilities
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment
