Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator/Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in welding, fabrication, and assembly and repair processes, with a focus on delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical knowledge and craftsmanship to contribute to diverse projects across various industries.

Duties

Perform precise TIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
Fabricate parts and assemblies according to technical drawings, specifications, and safety standards.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
Conduct basic measurements and calculations to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Assist in the installation, fitting, and alignment of fabricated components on-site or within the workshop.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines whilst ensuring quality standards are upheld.

Skills

Proven experience in TIG/MIG/MMA welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Solid knowledge assembly processes, and mechanical principles.
Ability to interpret technical drawings.
Good understanding of basic maths for measurements, angles, and material calculations.
Strong mechanical aptitude combined with problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality assurance.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment.

This role is suitable for individuals committed to craftsmanship with a keen eye for detail who are eager to develop their skills further within the fabrication industry. All positions are paid accordingly for the work performed.

Pay: £16.00-£21.00 per hour
