Job Overview
We are a small, highly specialised company designing and manufacturing precision instruments for thin‑film measurement and plasma etch process monitoring. Around 40% of our business comes from our Laser End Point Detection (EPD) system, and we are now looking for a dedicated, detail‑driven technician to take full ownership of the assembly and test of this flagship product line.
This is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end role where quality, pride in workmanship, and personal responsibility truly matter.
About the Role
You will become the primary person responsible for building, testing, and signing off our Laser End Point Detection systems. This includes:
- Full mechanical, optical, and electronic assembly of the product
- Running and recording quality assurance measurements at key stages
- Functional testing, calibration, and final verification
- Maintaining accurate build records and traceability documentation
- Identifying and reporting issues or improvements in the build process
- Packaging and preparing finished systems for shipment
- (Optional / growth area) Taking on parts purchasing, stock control, and supplier liaison
- (Optional / growth area) Supporting other product lines as needed
You will work closely with engineering and management, and over time you will become the internal expert for this product line.
