EDGE INNOVATE are looking to hire a Senior R&D Engineer to join our busy Design Team.
You will be responsible for working on new product development from product concept & join a team that are essential in helping the company grow in a profitable manner. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as part of this role will include mentoring junior members of staff. Having previous experience in a manufacturing environment working with crushing and screening equipment will be essential.

Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery
- Manage design projects and develop new products for the company and recommend appropriate timing for introduction to the market.
- Manage projects through from concept, design, support build and to installation.
- Co-ordinate with colleagues to support the sales team with technical specifications, site visits and technical advice throughout the process.
- Meet regularly with the Engineering Manager and Design Team to ensure effective communication of information relative to potential business improvement initiatives.
- Produce project status reports and other information as required by the Management Team to inform financial, sales and operational planning.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.
- Co-ordinate with other departments relative to Engineering Design.
- Follow all Company processes relating to equipment design.
- Contribute in the company’s continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work on and oversee multiple projects at any one time.
- Check and approve drawings using design processes, procedures and checklists.
- Resolve design quality issues as they arise, managing the design and provide detailed solutions.
- Develop and train Design Engineers in design office processes and procedures.

PERSON SPECIFICATION – SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER
Criteria Essential
Qualifications/Experience
· Good standard of education (to include English and Maths) with 5 years Design experience gained in a manufacturing environment/quarry and recycling equipment
OR
Educated to degree in an Engineering discipline with 4 years Design experience gained in a manufacturing environment/quarry and recycling equipment
· Experience with CAD design
· Product Development experience
Desirable
· Project Management experience
· Solid Works or Pro/Engineer experience
Knowledge
· Awareness of relevant safety standards
· Manufacturing process awareness

· Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including effective presentation and influencing skills
