About the Role
We are looking for a Freelance Essential Skills ICT Tutor who can deliver structured, high‑quality digital skills teaching aligned to accredited Essential Skills standards. This is purposeful, professional teaching with clear expectations, set delivery requirements and measurable outcomes.

Freelance delivery with clear expectations around punctuality, consistency and preparation

Deliver Essential Skills ICT sessions aligned to accredited requirements

A recognised teaching qualification in line with ES Circular 01/12

Experience delivering Essential Skills ICT or related accredited digital qualifications

Strong digital confidence and the ability to make skills relevant to real workplaces

Effective behaviour management and clear lesson structuring

GCSEs (A–C) or Level 2 Essential Skills in Maths and English

Commitment to safeguarding and compliance

Professionalism, punctuality and accountability
A typical day begins with reviewing session objectives and ensuring your lesson aligns to the Essential Skills framework. In the classroom, you set expectations early and link digital tasks to workplace reality. You support learners at different starting points while keeping standards high. After teaching, you update learner records, review progress and prepare your next session. This role requires clarity, organisation and consistent delivery. It is highly rewarding when learners gain the confidence to use digital skills in real employment.
