About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled Fabricator / Welder to join our busy engineering team based in Burton upon Trent. This is a hands on role that involves both workshop based and on site fabrication and welding, with a strong focus on heavy structural and plant work, including overhead cranes and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabrication and welding of heavy structural components
- Working on overhead crane systems and associated steelwork
- Site work as required, alongside workshop based tasks
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Ensuring work is completed to high safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder / Fabricator / Plater, ideally in heavy engineering
- Strong MIG welding skills - other welding processes a bonus
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Comfortable working at height or on site - training will be provided
- A proactive, reliable and safety conscious work attitude
