The Candidate
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate teacher who will work within our ERS provision.
You must be confident in the delivery of the core curriculum and have the ambition and dedication to continue to develop these areas of the curriculum in line with current practice and research in effective teaching.
The successful candidate will be versatile: a team player who is keen to make an impact and be part of a successful organisation. They will be resilient and positive, flexible and motivated. High levels of energy and enthusiasm are essential to support the success of our most vulnerable learners.
In all areas of the curriculum, you will be able to support the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively. You will be passionate about your specialist subject and seek to inspire students within all areas of the curriculum. Strong pedagogical skills are essential: adaptive and responsive teaching critical. The ability to scaffold, chunk, model and reframe are key techniques that will facilitate success.
You will have experience of working with students with SEND and be knowledgeable of statutory expectations linked to provision. In particular you will be able to respond and incorporate the requirements of student EHCP’s within your preparation and implementation of lessons to support their success. You will work collaboratively and closely with parents to provide high quality feedback to support the students progression but also build positive relationships and confidence around the provision.
The team members are all specialists and we offer a diverse curriculum with a range of courses, pathways and opportunities that meet the needs of our students within the ERS.
