Tethera is a proudly independent, progressive farm and equine practice in the Eden Valley. Established in 2011, we have grown into a team of 6 vets and 4 support staff. Our team are incredibly important to us and finding the right person to help us move forward is essential.
As we reflect on 10 years of business, we feel that now is the time to look for an enthusiastic team player to assist in the day to day running of the practice to allow our vets to continue to build on the services we offer.
Job description
As this is a new role it can be tailored to the right candidate but is likely to include:
Working with directors in the day to day running of the practice:
1. Organising vet and reception rotas, holidays and holiday cover
2. Managing insurance, utility contracts and the running of practice vehicles
3. Managing the pricing of products and services
· Assist in the booking out of work and running of monthly bills
· Health planning and relationship management of key clients
· Orchestrate seasonal sales and marketing initiatives
· Liaise with pharmaceutical reps and territory managers
· Be able to help with reception cover during holidays
Experience & Qualifications Required-
· Previous experience of working in and managing a team is essential.
· SQP/RAMA Qualification/ Knowledge of Ruminant POM-VPS and POM-V medicines would be beneficial
· Experience or background in farming/ veterinary industry would be beneficial
