We are now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Team Leader to support the management team in leading our deli, café and retail operation.

The Role
As Team Leader, you’ll work closely with the Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of both the café/deli and retail areas of the business.
You’ll be hands-on in leading the team, delivering exceptional customer experiences and ensuring high operational standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Manager with daily operations across hospitality and retail
- Leading, motivating and inspiring the team during busy service periods
- Delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences
- Driving sales through product knowledge, upselling and team engagement
- Ensuring operational standards, cleanliness and presentation remain excellent
- Supporting stock control, merchandising and sales performance
- Maintaining compliance with food safety, health & safety, licensing and company procedures
- Handling challenges and problem-solving calmly and professionally
- Supporting training and development of team members
- Contributing ideas to help develop and grow the business
What We’re Looking For
We’re searching for someone energetic, positive and highly organised who genuinely enjoys working with people and food.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Recent supervisory or leadership experience within hospitality and retail
- Strong front-of-house and customer service experience
- Confidence leading teams in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to motivate, coach and support others
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Passion for quality food, drink and local produce
- Confident using IT systems including stock management and customer review platforms
- Flexibility to support holiday cover, weekend working and busy seasonal trading periods
Desirable Experience
- Experience working across both hospitality and retail environments
- Maitre d’ or busy restaurant floor management experience
- Barista
- Kitchen experience or willingness to learn
- Level 2 Food Safety Certificate

Hours & Contract
- Permanent position
- Minimum of 30 hours per week over 5 days
- Includes at least one weekend day
- Working hours fall between 8am & 6pm
- Additional hours available to cover holidays and peak periods
- Sociable daytime trading hours
