Full job description

Fielden Factors have been supplying building materials for over 50 years, and since our early days we have always provided our customers with the best products at competitive prices.

We pride ourselves on our vast range of products, our customer support, and excellent delivery service.

With three large branches across the North West, Rossendale, Todmorden and Wigan; Fielden Factors is a leading supplier of sustainable timber and building materials.

This is a full-time position at our Hindley branch.

Ideally the applicant would have previous experience within retail or the building industry.

Role includes:

Advising and assisting customers with their purchases
Serving customers on the trade counter & yard
Answering the phones
Assembling orders for collection or delivery
Stock management
General warehousing duties (Maintaining general cleanliness of work area)

Required Skills:

Should have a positive and pro-active attitude
Ability to work efficiently both as part of a team or independently
Able to lift reasonably heavy loads
Able to operate tills, card machines and answer phones
Previous experience with a Forklift is a bonus

Longer term, the applicant would be able to train for other positions with the Company.

Hours:

Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 17:00 (1 hour for dinner)
Saturday: 08:00 - 12:00

Saturday working is a requirement for this role, and you will be expected to work every other Saturday (08:00 - 12:00) throughout the year.
