Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The purpose of this role is to ensure that all guests receive a high standard greeting and that all guest queries are dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Duties

To be professional, knowledgeable and assertive with guests with a warm welcome experience
Check guests in and out
Ensure that guest billing is dealt with effectively
To ensure that all reception procedures are followed to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction.
To work closely with the team to ensure that reception is always ready to greet guests and that guest’s needs are anticipated and action is taken.
To have a good working knowledge of the day to day business to be able to direct guests .
To ensure that the department is running smoothly, to be prepared and able to assist in any area of the department that requires support.
To have a thorough knowledge of services and facilities available
To ensure that the Departments Standards of Procedures are complete, up to date and read understood and used by all department staff.
To be aware of, and comply with, statutory and company requirements regarding the work place such as health and safety, hygiene, fire prevention and licensing.
To also be accountable for security in the department.
Undertake any adhoc duties

Qualifications

Previous experience in hospitality or hotel reception is preferred but not essential.
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using computer systems for reservations and guest management.
A keen attention to detail and organisational skills are highly desirable for managing tasks effectively.
