As a Development Surveyor / Development Appraisal Manager at BuildUp, the Development Surveyor will support BuildUp's Planning Uplift Joint Venture model by assessing land opportunities submitted by members, preparing development appraisals, reviewing viability, advising on land values, and supporting offer strategy prior to BuildUp committing funding.
You will have 3+ years of experience in:
- Development, land, valuations, and deep appraisal work
- A strong understanding of land acquisition costs when working with landowners
- A deep understanding of planning-led value creation
- Residual valuations, land acquisition, development viability, and planning gain
This position would suit someone who has worked in the land department of a regional housebuilder, or a land promotion business. Someone, who is commercially aware
Review opportunities to determine:

5 - Likelihood of Planning Uplift Success
Working alongside Planners and Development Managers to provide recommendations on whether opportunities should proceed based on deep appraisal work, comparables, and detailed research.

Assess:
- Site profitability
- Margin sensitivity

- Approved, reject, or request additional information
Please note, we are considering applications from both Junior & Senior applications, with pay to reflect experience.
Pay: £30,000.00-£75,000.00 per year
